Terms & Conditions for Membership – Janaagaaz Foundation

1. Definitions
Foundation refers to Janaagaaz Foundation, a registered non-profit organization under the Indian Trusts Act/Societies Registration Act.
Member refers to any individual or entity accepted by the Foundation as a member upon completing the membership application and payment of applicable fees/donation.

2. Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to all individuals and entities committed to the objectives of the Foundation.
The applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
Membership is subject to approval by the Foundation’s Governing Body.

3. Membership Categories
Ordinary Members – Individuals who contribute the prescribed fee.
Life Members – Individuals making a one-time contribution as determined by the Foundation.
Institutional Members – Organizations contributing as per the prescribed structure.

4. Rights & Duties of Members
Members may participate in activities, programs, and meetings as permitted by the Foundation.
Members must uphold the mission, vision, and values of the Foundation.
No member shall misuse the name, logo, or resources of the Foundation.
Members shall not engage in activities contrary to the interest of the Foundation.

5. Membership Fee & Donations
Membership fee/donations are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Donations to the Foundation are eligible for tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, subject to current laws.
For foreign contributions, members/donors must comply with FCRA regulations.

6. Use of Funds
All funds, including membership fees and donations, shall be utilized solely for the objectives of the Foundation as per Income Tax Act provisions and applicable NGO laws.

7. Termination of Membership
Membership may be terminated by:
Voluntary resignation with written notice.
Non-compliance with the Foundation’s rules and objectives.
Misuse of membership privileges or involvement in unlawful activities.
Decision of the Governing Body shall be final and binding.

8. Limitation of Liability
Members shall not hold the Foundation liable for any personal, financial, or legal consequences arising from participation in its activities.
The Foundation is not responsible for acts done by members in their personal capacity.

9. Privacy & Data Protection
The Foundation shall maintain confidentiality of member data as per Indian IT Act & Data Privacy norms.
By signing this form, members consent to the use of their contact details for official communication.

10. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising out of membership or activities shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
Jurisdiction shall lie with the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
